Thanksgiving Recap

So with the 5 day mini Thanksgiving vaca that Andrew and I had
I kinda forgot about blogging.
We had such a wonderful time at home with our families that blogging got pushed to the side
So here is the recap of our weekend.

Wednesday was spent running the millions of errands needed to get ready for our first Thanksgiving where the Hart's ( my family) and the Tuckers ( my new family) would spend Thanksgiving together!!!
I made two pies and completely forgot to take pictures
Carmel apple pie and a chocolate pecan pie.
I was a a little nervous but apparently they were a hit cause while there were tons of other desserts mine were demolished :)
We also made these adorable cookies for my 4 nephews in honor of turkey day

Later on Wednesday Night after all the baking was done I went to dinner with my friends from high school. We forgot to take pictures but here is a picture of us all at my wedding :)

Thursday we ate ...a lot and then napped cause black friday was coming o so fast
but unfortunately I got sick and we only shopped 3 stores before we had to go home.
(if you know me personally you would know I was bummed at my epic fail since I look forward to this all year!)

Later Friday it was Andrew's 26th Birthday.
He loaded up good stuff like

Then his best gift. Dinner with me an a new Fossil Watch

We went to McCormick's and Schmicks and it was delicious as always.
Andrew had never been and he enjoyed it.
We even got personalized menus that had his name and birthday on it
here is what we got to eat
Andrews plate: Crab stuffed Salmon with Mashed Potatoes and Grilled Veggies

My Plate: Grilled Mahi Mahi with a Crab and Potato Hash with corn bisque on the bottom

Finally Saturday and Sunday came and it was time to go home. We got in some more family time like a Birthday Dinner with Andrews family Saturday and then breakfast with my family Sunday before we had to head off.

We are counting down the days till we get to head back for Christmas ( 17 working days!!)

But until then we are excited to be back in our own home and if you can tell by the way Bently looked once we got home... we are worn out :)

Celebrating 6 Months of Happiness :)

This week as we prepare for Thanksgiving I have so many things to be thankful for
but today is extra special!!
Today Andrew and I are celebrating 6 months of marriage :)

Here are a few shots to recap our beautiful day

Then a little dancing to end the night

I couldn't be more happy about that committment we made six months ago and can't think of a more better time to be thankful for my wonderful marriage then during Thanksgiving.

The only thing I can wish is that we were still here
in beautiful Jamaica

Trimming the Tree :)

So in my family we always put the tree up on the Friday after Thanksgiving.
But Andrew and I will be in Charlotte celebrating Thanksgiving with our family
and when we get home Sunday we will be taking our first set of Christmas photos for our Christmas card as a married couple so we wont have time to get it up before the work week starts.
So Christmas time at the Tuckers starts TODAY :)

Heres a pictures of the pups all dressed up in their Christmas sweaters ready to start decorating!!

Here is what our house looks with a little Christmas cheer :)
Our Christmas Tree

The Nativity scene. Its so special because Andrews mom hand painted it and kept it up in her house for years and when we got our first place she gave it to us for our first christmas :)

We still have a few more things to put up such as decorating the spare bathroom with the Christmas towels and setting up the Christmas Village Andrews mom gave us but we got tired!

So we ended our night with one of our favorite meals

Homemade Yellow Curry Chicken

and for dessert
Yes there are 72 homemade chocolate chip cookies here
No worries they aren't all for us
Lets just say we will be the favorite employees at work tomorrow :)

Hope everyone has a great short work week ( Benefits of being a teacher.. ours is only 2 days!!)
And is ready for Turkey Day

Raleigh Christmas Parade

So today Andrew and I went with our friends James and Marianne to the Raleigh Christmas Parade
We didn't know this but Raleigh's Christmas Parade is the largest parade south of D.C
How cool :)
The parade was amazing but it was also two hours long
Its not the longest parade in the US but Andrew decided he wouldn't never venture to that one cause two hours was long enough!

Here are some of the pictures we took
