Weekend Recaps:)

My last two weekends have been 3 day weekends so the fact that this weekend was the normal 2 day weekend has me in a funk:(
I am having a rough time at work so I am literally living for the weekend.
I mean even me who is totally not ready for a baby is counting down till Andrew graduates in the thought that if I want to I can take the plunge so I don't have to work anymore.
It stinks, I hate the feeling :(
But back to my recap :)

Friday:
After a long week Andrew took me out to wind down.
I am so grateful for such an amazing husband who strives daily to lift me up and praise me!

We headed over to our favorite spot, Cafe Caturra for some Wine and amazing breads and spreads:)

Saturday :
We had a ton of errands to run in the morning but were anxious to get home and do some relaxing with the pups before we went to dinner at a friends house.
But before we headed back to the house we stopped for our usual snowballs.
Love me some watermelon and sour tsunami :)
Then we came home and snuggled with some fur babies all day!

Sunday:
We spent Sunday Morning worshiping the Lord at the Durham Bulls Baseball Stadium.
There were over 11,000 people in attendance and over 500 were baptised. I am so happy to be a part of the Summit Church.
It was so amazing to hear all of our voices together.
After the service we went with so many Friends to Mellow Mushroom for some delish pizza :)

Sunday night I spent my time watching nothing else but
What did you think about the winner?
Personally I wanted Miss. Oklahoma.
She won me over in the 20/20 special when she said she was the Oscar Myer wiener jingle winner and I wanted to see her go all the way!

Hope you had a great weekend!
I'm cleaning out my closet and posted some stuff for sale on the blog!
Check it out here!

Five on Friday

I love this post every week because I love reading other's post and finding new favorite things!!

1. Bobbie Brown
Girls, I have been a MAC Eye Make-up girl my whole makeup wearing career but lately I feel like the quality of their products and service have been lacking.
I decided to try something new and really had no idea what and I ended up at Bobbie Brown and the makeup artist put on the Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner.
I AM IN LOVE
It really does stay on all day and goes on so perfect.

2.Chalkboard Signs
Our Pastor has been talking about memorizing more scripture so you can pray scripture and I have been looking for a way to display a verse weekly in our house.

I am loving these chalkboard versions.
I think a trip to Michael's is in my future so I can do a little DIY!

3. Starbucks Refreshers
I don't know why but I have been pretty anti-coffee lately.
It is beyond me cause I love it but I still need my daily fix.
Thank goodness for these Starbucks Refreshers cause they are giving me life on Friday Mornings when I have to be ready for all the children that are getting ready to walk into my classroom.
The very berry hibiscus is my fav :)

4. Wine
I love wine. In particular all types that are white and labeled pinto grigio.
A few summers ago I found my very favorite bottle when browsing Total Wine. I always look at the top 20 lists and this one was in the top 5 and had a pretty bottle so I was sold!
Who knew it would quickly become my favorite. Sad thing is its a summer wine and they don't carry it as often during the winter:(
I have a bottle and I'll be enjoying it this weekend along with my last taste of all other things summer :)

5. New Items
I am so excited about all the new stuff I have for the shop:)
I have made so many sales in Raleigh from word of mouth that I am excited to be able to focus on promoting the etsy shop to expand my business.
Look at some of these amazing pieces I added this week

Check them all out here :)

Well here's to my Friday I plan on enjoying a nice Starbucks Refresher on the way to work and my favorite glass of wine tonight before its gone for the summer :)

Hey Fall... I'm on the fence

So it's September and apparently everyone in the world is ready for fall.
Me.. I am on the fence.

Reason #1 I am not ready for fall:
Like lets talk about all this pumpkin craziness.
Me I hate it, you feed it to babies and they cringe and now you want to put in my coffee?
No thanks I'll stick to my vanilla lattes until Christmas time and then I'll sing a Christmas song on the way to pick up my first Christmas cup filled with a White Chocolate Peppermint Mocha..
Now that people is something to post on instagram!

Reason #1 I am ready for fall
Fall clothing.
Love it!
Give me some boots, scarves and over-sized sweaters and I am in heaven. Let's not even get me started on leggings. I'll kill the fool who says they can't be worn as pants. Its like cute clothing and amazing pj's had a baby and named it fall clothes.

Reason #2 I'm not ready for fall
Beach Weather
Or maybe should talk about the lack there of this summer. I feel like it can't be fall because I can count on 1 hand the number of times I had a free day and planned to go to the beach or pool and actually got to go cause it didn't rain. No tan this year:(
Booo summer weather, I don't live in Seattle!

Reason #2 I am ready for fall
Football
Oh I love college football. Do I almost die every time I watch my beloved wolfpack play. Abso-freaking-lutely! But will I still watch every game.. OF COURSE.
One of my favorite things about fall is college football:)

SO what about you? Have you been bitten by that orange pumpkin fairy??

Domestic Disaster--Mr. Version

I have posted about my domestic disasters before but this time I am joyfully posting and not wallowing in my sorrows because ladies.....
The Mr. made this disaster!!

I have made these chicken taco bowls a million times before.
They are so easy and really make an amazing meal.
If you don't follow Budget Bytes you should.
Really all her meals are amazing!
(this is her photo not mine.. mine never look this pretty)

Well the story goes like this.
I was running so late for work Monday so I told Andrew I would text him the recipe to throw it all in the crockpot on low for 8 hours and there was no way he would mess up.
Yes my words bit my behind so hard cause ladies I came in to the house with the worst burning smell every.
Literally it looked like this crockpot had been on fire!

But no worries. Andrew made it up to me by making his famous Belgian waffles for a winner winner brinner dinner :)

Five on Friday

1. My Blogger Friends
aka you reading this right now!

I am so overwhelmed by the emails, comments and facebook messages I have received from my post yesterday about starting a business!
People think its weird all the time that I blog but they just don't understand.
I love yall!
Check out my new favorite item
Aren't these monogrammed pacifiers adorable!
I added a few more things yesterday so go check it out:)

If you missed yesterdays post check it out here and like me on facebook and etsy!

2. Fall Yall :)
While I am not a fan of pumpkin flavored things I am a fan of all other things fall. I can't wait for the weather to cool down a little more so I can make some soups, hit up a pumpkin patch, corn maze and hopefully make it to Charleston for a haunted Halloween tour:)

PS. Are anyone else hearing calls from their wonderful boots, scarves and leggings??

3.  Church at the Ballpark
Yall this one makes me so giddy!
I am so happy to see what God is doing in RDU and the fact that this event brings all of the Summit Campuses together to worship is amazing! Enough people to fill the Durham Bulls Park to worship the Lord! Give me goosebumps just thinking about it!
If you are in the RDU area and want to come worship with us on Sunday, September 15th please let me know. I will meet you and sit with you and be so excited you are visiting!
Check out here for more info
God is doing great things!

4. Fall Jewelry
So as a lovely family member(who will not be named) pointed out my jewelry seemed to summery!
Boo!
Guess that means I need more.
I am loving this piece.
Great transition into fall-- Minus the earrings!
(bet you didn't know I don't have mine PIERCED!)
What do you think?

5.Real Food

So I think I am giong to attemp the challenge
We already eat pretty good in our house but I get stuck so often!
She gives you three week of full meal planning for free to help you get the hang of it!
We are gonna eat normal this week and start next Friday.
Wish us luck!!!

Carolina Bliss :)

So I took a jump and I am hoping to turn this etsy page into a real business! Currently I am just offering Vinyl Monogrammed Items. However Etch drink ware, personalized stamps and jewelry will come early next week! Please spread the word so I can reach my goal and open a real website and start offering embroidery and custom stationary and invitations :)

Why did I decide to do this? I have a love for customs invitations and all things monogrammed. I love weddings but could never be a wedding planner. However I believe in the south Monograms and Weddings go hand and hand. With my the recent turn of events in the NC Public School System I felt there was no better time to get things rolling so hopefully I can work from home when we decide to bring babies into our crazy lives!

So help me out! Like me on facebook and etsy and spread the word. You can even repin my pins on pinterest! I have already had an amazing start with purchases from family and friends and even got a sale on etsy before I let anyone know about it!

A Labor-less Weekend:)

Man do I love a 3 day weekend.
Do you want to know what I love more than a 3 day weekend...
That my friends would be a 3 day work week.
Thank you Wake County for making Monday a Holiday and Friday an optional workday.

Friday I started off my day casual style. My new school doesn't do jean Fridays except for on special days and at my school the start of college football is a reason to celebrate! It made it even better that we won on Saturday

We headed to Charlotte. Man I love this little fur ball and that he loves car rides. Our other pup.. not so much :(

I spent most of my day Saturday hanging out with this sweet girl. I just can't get enough!

On Sunday we went to the US National White Water Center with all our friends from college. If you have never been and live close you should go. It was so much fun and I was skeptical since I have been real white water rafting. Luckily we finished our raft time before the rain came:(

Monday came to quickly but not before some mani-pedi time with my mom and sister.
PS I got these coach sandals Saturday for $23! Steal :)

Oh and our fun weekend came to a depressing end when someone hit our car while we were gone and left no note. Luckily they found the person and all is well after tons of paperwork:(
Andrew is sad.. his car is less than a year old :(

PS> Stay tuned tomorrow. My announcement is coming out :)
