This summer has been a whirlwind!
I was worried at the end of the school year that my position was going to be eliminated and then I got the all clear that I had a job for the 2013-2014 school year. I was so happy. I loved my school so much!
Then 3 weeks into the new school year ( I teach at a year round school so we started in July) the lovely NC Legislation passed a oh so wonderful bill (NOT) and due to numbers my position was cut and in 10 days I was going to be without a job. I was devastated!
Luckily I had an amazing principal who got on the job website with me asked me what schools I was interested in and began making phone calls and landed me 3 interviews within an hour! Honestly she is amazing and didn't have to do any of it and the next day I had a new job at a new school.
It has been an emotional time and I start my new school tomorrow and I am nervous, excited and sad. It is an amazing school that is new and has so much technology. I have been praying for an accepting heart cause I know God's Plan is so Large for my life.
Here is a look at my last few days of school. My kids were so amazing and made it so hard to leave!
I'm so sorry to hear about the crazy switch up with your job...it's not so fun being a teacher in NC right now :( You will be so great at your new school, and I'm sure everyone will love you! Thinking about you :)
